Most of our customers come to us with tales of burnt-out or feeble juicer motors. Well, the GE induction motor installed in the NutriCentre is a full 1/3 horsepower and has been tested by the Underwriters Laboratories in the USA to run for 15,000 hours of use! And in case you leave it on overnight, the motor has built-in thermal overload protection (circuit breaker), which will stop the motor after about 3 hours of inactivity.
It also happens to be the quietest appliance motor we have heard.
Just as an aside, you cannot burn out an induction motor! It works in a magnetic field. In other words, there is no friction whatsoever.

Remember that the NutriCentre 1000 is a juicer, not a blender. It is not possible to make pure fruit or vegetable juices in any blender no matter what the makers tell you.

As you would expect from a top quality appliance, the NutriCentre 1000 is at the cutting edge of the latest trends in Health Food Appliances. The Model 1000 features stainless steel juicing blades and a durable Monsanto Lustranâ housing which will not discolour like normal ABS, and the amazing induction motor we mentioned above.

What is of vital importance too, is that the NutriCentre spins at an exceptionally low 2800 rpm. This means that all the delicate vitamins and enzymes (such as beta-carotene) are retained in the juice and are not destroyed by the oxidation effect and heat build-up from friction that will occur in the cheaper mass-produced juicers spinning at up to 35,000 rpm.
